GERMANY 49-69 GREAT BRITAIN
Joe Bestwick (GBR): “It's not about individual performances. I was just part of the five guys on the court and the seven guys on the bench who all wanted to win together.
“The team are starting to gel together. There are seven new guys in this squad who have never played at this level before so it's been really exciting to see them out there and gel as a unit.
“The aim of this tournament was always to give people the opportunity to play because you can't go into a major tournament having never played for your country before. The BT Paralympic World Cup then is perfect for blooding players and letting them prove to the coaches what they can do.”
Murray Treseder (coach) (GBR): “It's a work in progress. It was a great result today but I still think that we played better in our first game against Australia.
“Overall though the key indicators have been met and I would describe the BT Paralympic World Cup as very successful on the whole.”
Frits Wiegman (coach) (GER): “We didn't play very well. We didn't shoot well and our defence wasn't good. Great Britain shot well and their big guys were better than our guys today.
“It's the third time that we've been at the BT Paralympic World Cup. It's a very well organised tournament and it's been important for me to see the young guys develop and see how they can play. It's been very good preparation for the European Championships.”
