
"The first 50 felt a lot faster than it really should've done. The second 50 I felt the burn but the crowd helped me along. I heard them all the way along the last 25 and they helped my legs.
"Because it's just straight finals here we know we've got to race. We have learnt from other tournaments that we have a short turnaround.
"I wanted a PB (Personal Best) in the 400 and I was two seconds off of it, but I haven't done a lot of training with the 400 with my coach, so I'm happy witih that."

"It's been an absolutely fantastic day! I love competing here with the support of the crowd behind you because it really pushes you forward and makes you give that little bit more.
"It's really good for us to compete here in Manchester because it's a really good warm-up for the Worlds. I'm hoping to go out there and just to swim really well. My races and training have been going well, so I'm really looking forward to it."
