Next year welcomes bigger and better things for the BT Paralympic World Cup and a revamped website is just the start. The overhaul has not only made the website more visually appealing and interactive, but now offers even more accessibility to blind and partially sighted sports fans and athletes.
The upgrade has been such a success the Royal National Institute for the Blind has awarded the site its coveted 'See it Right' accessibility logo.
Technical improvements such as easier navigation of the site, making it clearer and simpler for those with screenreader software and image and story descriptions have contributed to the website gaining the RNIB's accessibility badge.
Tim Reddish, ParalympicsGB Chairman, believes the improvement to the online accessibility for the BT Paralympic World Cup website is invaluable,
"Website accessibility such as the great new access the BT Paralympic World Cup website offers is so important to people who are visually impaired. There is no reason why people who are blind or partially sighted should be restricted or prevented from being able to access web-based information.
"This is a great development not only for the website but for the event as a whole."
