The exhibition opens at 10:00am and Naidex is proud to announce Shannon Murray will be performing the opening ceremony on Tuesday 20th April. In addition to opening Naidex, Shannon will also be giving a short talk and answering questions in the lifestyle and demonstration zone at 1:30pm.
Naidex is also delighted to welcome back Ade Adepitan, wheelchair basketball Paralympian, television presenter and patron of Go Kids Go, who is set to attend the show on Wednesday 21st April 2010.
Ade contracted polio aged 3 which left him in a wheelchair, but has gone on to lead a very active career. A member of the Great Britain Paralympics team that won Bronze at the Athens Olympics and Gold at the 2005 Paralympics World Cup in Manchester, Ade has also had a successful television career, recently appearing as a judge on Dancing On Wheels.
Located within KideQuip, Naidex’s area dedicated to children’s equipment and services, Go Kids Go will also be running ‘Have a go’ sessions throughout the three days, featuring wheelchair games, challenges, dance sessions and an introduction to wheelchair basketball. Spare wheelchairs will be available so that non-disabled parents and siblings can join in the fun.
