The Cerebral Palsy International Sports and Recreation Association (CPISRA) is the Governing Body for Cerebral Palsy Sport. Beginning in 1978 CPISRA has developed opportunities worldwide for those with Cerebral palsy or a related Neurological condition to access sport.
A founder member of the International Paralympic Committee CPISRA continues to Govern two sports that are within the Paralympic programme. It is responsible for CP 7 a side Football and Boccia. CPISRA is responsible for Classification within these two sports but in addition trains classifiers who operate across all Paralympic sports. Currently CPISRA has some 62 member Nations and remains committed to developing the pathways by which people with Cerebral Palsy across the world can access the sport of their choice.
