Crowd Zone

Involve your school in BT’s latest technology trial at this year's BT Paralympic World Cup

Imagine being able to have match stats, facts and figures at your fingertips when you're watching a live sporting event - it would be like having your very own "red button" on your smart phone or laptop. BT is trialling a new wireless service at this year's BT Paralympic World Cup that will offer spectators this experience for free. For pupils attending the event, it's a great opportunity to learn more about Paralympic Sport and the athletes taking part in a new and interactive way.

We'd love your support by allowing your school to be part of this technology trial. We need pupils to bring devices they may own that can browse the internet via WiFi. On the day, all they need to do is log onto the BT Crowdzone WiFi service and open an internet browser, and they will have access to a stream of specific information about the BT Paralympic World Cup, info on the competitors, a Manchester city guide, competitions and videos. Access to the wider internet is not available from this service. This experience is available at the Manchester Regional Arena from 25th to 30th May.

There is also a chance to win a Nintendo DS! We want feedback on BT Crowdzone, and every participant will be entered into the draw - just click the button at the bottom of the home page. Netbooks, laptops, smartphones, PSPs, iPod Touch devices and Nintendo DS consoles should be able to access the service. The winner will be informed by email on Friday 4th June.
